There is something about changing the year on your calendar that translates well to giving the abode a fresh new feel. How far you go with it is only limited by your imagination. Here are some options as we look at 2020 home upgrades.
According to HGTV, the bathroom and kitchen top the list for most popular updates for 2020 due to multiple levels of difficulty and cost, and best return on investment. Exterior is a close runner-up, including landscaping, siding and entryway. Room conversions and add-ons follow.
THE QUICK FIX
- A coat of paint will do wonders for any room. The Pantone 2020 Color of the Year is out and get ready for history to repeat itself with classic blue.
- For more of a hint of inspiration—dare we say a smack of enthusiasm—check out the HGTV 2020 DREAM HOME. It is a coastal combination of ocean hues and pink pigments.
- Traditionalists will appreciate the Behr 2020 Back to Nature campaign. As they’ve done in the past, Behr includes a shade of the Pantone selection, then builds a more conservative pallet around the selection.
FIXING VS. FIXER UPPER
