Five Lynchburg-area Charities Compete for up to $4,500 in Natural Stone
LYNCHBURG, Va. – (December 16, 2013) — Five local charities are vying for thousands of dollars of natural stone in Spectrum Stone Designs’ Natural Stone Charity Makeover. Spectrum Stone Designs is Lynchburg’s only fabricator of natural stone countertops, surrounds and tiles.
“We are so excited to give back to one of these wonderful nonprofit organizations that helps our community everyday,” said Page Eggleston, owner of Spectrum Stone Designs. “Through our Natural Stone Charity Makeover contest, we also hope to raise awareness of the missions of each of the charities participating in the event.”
From Dec. 15 through Dec. 31, people can vote for the charity they would like to see win up to $4,500 worth of natural stone at www.facebook.com/spectrumstonedesigns. The charities participating in the contest include:

Spectrum Stone Designs accepted nominations online for the contest through Dec. 10. The five finalists were selected based on the condition of cabinets and other foundations for natural stone and the charity’s impact on the Lynchburg, Va., area. All participating charities are based in Lynchburg and the stone will be used to enhance their facility.
The charity with the most votes as of noon on Dec. 31 wins a natural stone makeover from Spectrum Stone Designs. Natural stone can be used in the nonprofit organization’s facility for new kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, desks or outdoor seating. Other uses include fireplace surrounds, staircases and outdoor kitchens.
Spectrum Stone Designs will install the new natural stone for the winning charity after Jan. 15, 2014.
